Dave, The only good information I got from your last post is we're on the same coast. How is it you pick so wisely and I so badly!
DELL is an analyst's darling, and can do no wrong. Nevertheless, I look at what I expect their earnings to be and find they don't support the $169 price at which you win your Big Mac and Pepsi. Looked at another way, IDTI has around ten bucks to go to win my bet. Thanks to Mr. Yeltsin's decision to go short in a big way, even your DELL is unlikely to get where you want it to be. On a percentage basis, DELL fell off a bit today. I hope IDTI weathers the storm and makes some solid earnings in communications circuits, FIFOs, and specialty SRAM. We'll see if the Win-2 sells into ultra-inexpensive PCs($19.99 and up). AMD and Intel are going to beat each other up badly, and that should remove some of Intel's earnings luster. It won't help Pentium knock-off prices at all.

The whole thing is getting extremely interesting, and as an ascetic capable of living under a bridge(I hope) I am watching it with objectivity. There was a rumor that Michael Dell, among others, sold DELL today. Frankly, after that beautiful runup, I wouldn't blame them. Thanks for your generous offer of a revised bet, but I'll stick with the original and motor up the coast to have lunch with you. I'm in Florida. How far apart are we? Best of luck: we're both going to need it. Regards, Sam
