< It's not at all unusual for them to take it down for a short time to continue working on it With all due respect, you know not a scintilla about web page development and the project life-cycle. Any html changes or new design should take place in a test environment without impacting production. After hyperlinks and tags are verified in system and user acceptance testing, then you implement your updates into production. This should not cause any "down" time you allude to. You don't just "take it down for a short time". Imagine what that would mean for business if you were Amazon.com.
