Sun's JavaSoft division Wednesday made available its Java Shared Data
Toolkit for creating such collaborative applications as whiteboards,
chat rooms, and other shared network applications.

The $99 multimedia toolkit allows Java developers to generate applets

of data with multiple parties within a communications session, and the
provision of application-level synchronization, according to company
officials.
