Hi everybody!

Just checking in to let everyone know that I didn't skip off the reservation (or jump out any windows). Messy markets create lots of opportunities for those that stay focused, so I have been off visiting companies and doing research...which is far more productive than sitting in front of my Bloomberg and contemplating the end of the world.

For those that may be concerned, Qualcomm's economic exposure to Russia is minimal. The company has been paid in cash (dollars) to date and expects this to continue (regardless, the contracted amounts are small). FY99 would have (obviously) benefited from incremental Russian business, but should not be impacted materially by its absence. Based on everything I know, this is no fundamental or operational reason for the recent price decline.

Bear markets are not fun...and the last couple of months have been no picnic. But with the Russell 2000 down by more than 25% since April, I would argue that much of the damage has been done. Now is the time for level-headed, calm, collected analysis...not fear and panic. This turn of events, my friends, will pass.

Best regards to all (from the road),

Gregg
