I totally agree...

This is to the thread in general,
Look at it this way folks...
On July 31, 1998 you could have bought DELL for $98/share..
LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. Now it closed at $125 and change.
IF it takes a haircut over the next few weeks for a 20% drop in value, you are only set back to what your position was 30 days ago.

PLUS you will have double the number of shares due to the split so the recovery will have a multiplier effect going into the future. Every buck that DELL goes up will be like the pre split shares going up 2.

The reporters reporting closing prices use words like PUNISHED to describe what is really a little profit taking on a VERY NICE run-up recently. DELL is WAY above where is was just 30 days ago. Giving up PART of yesterdays run seems like a fine way to ride out a really really bad day on Wallstreet.
