It hasn't been this low since late June while it was in the middle of a month-long run up to above 100. Even if you buy in at 82 and it drops to 80 this week over the irrational international fears, I think we'll see it out-perform the rest of the market, especially if some savvy acquisitions take place in the fall/winter.

LU is off big time from its recent high of 108. I think its just a realization that the stock was just a little ahead of its self. No fundamental turn in the company. With the stock off that much from its high it "might" be a good time to begin accumulating the stock if you want to get some. I am not a buyer myself with market conditions like they are (I may regret this later, haha). I already have a position in LU that is sizeable for me, so my plans now are just to hold it for the long haul unless I see something fundamental changing with the company. I can not say that someone should buy it here, but it does look tempting if you have already made the decision that you want to start accumulating it. Good luck in your decision making!

I also would hope that they use their heads like CSCO has in their acquisitions. A huge blockbuster acquisition, after the October deadline for no pooling of interest type of transaction, I think would be a bad short to intermediate term decision, and also maybe even long term as well. Like a merger with Ascend. I own both companies, LU and ASND, and would like to see them take the same approach as CSCO - to go it alone and make small acquisitions and acquire technology that way. I am probably wrong, but that's my opinion anyway. I am afraid that LU would take a real hit if they purchased ASND this fall, and could slow their ultimate growth rate for a long period of time as their try to make it work. Would love to hear from others on this subject.
