RE: Has the textbooks told you that a bear market is formed when the inflation risk is low and the economy is robust? And in a market where high tech is the major force behind the bullish sentiment of the stock market, in the forseeable future, the technology should grow faster instead of stop growing.

Two things,
One, Inflation, and the economy are not the only things that can cause a bear market. Inflation is not an issue. Deflation is.
Deflations is in and of itself, a bear market in what ever is deflating. Today, it looks like we had a lot of deflation.

Two, On the DELL going up comment, That would only be because there are some money runners out there that will not give up on their momentum approach, and that will drive more and more of their dwindling assets into DELL, the only sanctuary of strenth left in the market. The flip side to DELL is that today, on Record volume, the stock failed to move higher and that indicates a blow off top.
