Since they now have new leadership, my understanding from the news is that they are having to construct a new financial rescue plan with a new consensus. And consensus-building will likely drag into next year. Meanwhile, all of their major banks are in trouble.

Perhaps, some of their communist politicians see what they like over in Russia. A chance to nationalize with a financial collapse.

The Japanese problem will take several years to fix I think but the market gets dissapointed after euphoria when personnel changes if they don't anything in days.

What do you think of the common wisdom that it's institutional inertia that's keeping the Japanese from doing more? And what do you think of the (increasing) view that the Nikkei is going to 12,000?
