Mel, Sorry late to answer this but my mailbox has millions of mail msgs in it.

Someone asked me about JDEC yesterday on the Dell thread. I said I liked the stock but not the sector. Thats about all I can say at this point on JDEC since I have no exposure to their products... but honestly I think they have another "Sap-like" luck factor working for them vs. the Psft stellar vision and execution. JDEC had an installed base on AS400 in the past, very strong there, they knew their customer base etc. Psft and Sap didnt really address the mkt, JDEC came to mkt with C/S late, so (unlike Sap) they architected their product well from a technical standpoint, but the fact remains they were also lucky. Psft had no such luck, they had no mkt, no products, and took on Sap and Oracle apps successfully, IMO psft has the best mgmt in ERP.

Re Manu reports Sept, a solid qtr (maybe break even) but I doubt the stock will recover... I dont like the whole enterprise sw sector right now - but for the very long term crowd its ok obviously.
