Marc, I can't point you to the rule but I know that once you buy 1,000 shares using soes you cannot trade that same stock, on the same side, for five minutes on any system. If you want to accumulate more than a thousand shares within a five minute time period you can't use soes.

I would call NASD and ask them for their interpretation (that's the one that counts).
