Michael, sorry to be "blunt" but you are incorrect on several points:
(By the way, did you get your CAPS LOCK STUCK or did you really mean to yell!!)

>>>>I believe that you will find that people will in general turn a "blind ear" to this arguement<<<<

1. My topics are germane to the forum hence *other* people (that is other than you) have responded. Your comment is therefore misplaced.

>>>but at least people new to the scene like Leland <<<

2. I am not *new* to the qcom thread or the SI forum. In fact, I have been a member almost since its inception in 1996. From your bio you have only been around since 1997. Again, your comment is incorrect.

>>>I'm sorry to be so blunt here Leland but the subject of what patents QCOM does have and their coverage has been EXTREMELY throughly hashed out in this forum.<<<

3. No one (with the exception of Dave ;) ) on this thread has *any* idea of what they are talking about when it comes to patents. This is not suprising by the way since it is a *very* complicated area. It is not an area one dabbles in or has a "feel" for.

>>>Leland could avoid the hot button issues.<<<

4. Isnt that what a forum *IS* about? Thus, because of its controversy it makes an *excellent* or should I say *EXCELLENT* topic for discussion.

>>>I really wish that the webmistress had set up a thing to click on for each forum that is a FAQ area. <<<

4. If a discussion of patents *REALLY* gets under your skin then I suggest not reading the comments.

5. By the way, perhaps you should read "Fahrenheit 451".
