<< Actual Election Results

PUP - 60%
UDP - 40%
Others - >1% >>

so I guess the PUP party won... early on I was told that the PUP party would most benefit PRWT... but then as of late and because John kept quiet.. supposedly wasn't going to matter who won..

but I will agree with the poster who said that "wasn't it the UDP/current party that put out the (alleged) false press release".

So hopefully the PUP party will work with PRWT to clear this up and that we can expect some announcements within a few days or weeks ...

no one really knows for sure.. we're all in the same boat waiting for John to set the sails and start us moving in the right direction.
Sure will be nice when Belize gives WRITTEN permission to port there.

Also, isn't the existing government responsible for the false press release (UDP)?

Strictly speaking the PRWT Press Release is the false Press Release. Since the government there has denied PRWT's statement in this regard, the report from the ministry of Home Affairs and Housing can not be said to be false. The only untruth is the one in the PRWT release, as it has been denied by the Government that there are any guaranteed loans that Affordable Housing can process.

Maybe with the new government PRWT can yet apply for and be granted the necessary licenses to write mortgages in Belize. Certainly with a new Government there, it would seem to have a greater likelihood of success, judging from the current statements of the apparently outgoing Home Affairs Ministry.
