{{{{WB}}}}

EXACTLY! Well said, William.

It's kinda like a "teenage study group" in here! Some are tending their business, and others are just engaging in monkey business! Everyone will be enriched by the other's contribution, and each will come away with a feeling of warmth. All pieces of a perfect puzzle. Now, where did that center piece "Scottoo" go? Guess we better be checking under the couch cushions soon, we don't want to blast off without him! <g>

E'Lane...thinking it is just about time for "roll call" aboard the good ship DGIV!

I agree with WB's comments. I believe there is no place like home.
All of our family has left a part of themselves on this thread and it would be a shame to loose all the {{{good feelings}}} just to get rid of a few }}}bad{{{ ones. Let's keep this family together.

Sonya

DGIVERS, regarding the move, I think most would agree that William said it best. I'll repost his thoughts for anyone to reread if necessary, and then, as time permits, let's all follow up on those actions (unless someone objects).

As an aside, some of you may have noticed I've had a difficult time with the "family" concept... in fact I don't know where I stand with the majority of you folks (there are exceptions). I haven't really refined my thoughts on this, or drawn conclusions, so i'll just ramble off some of the factors i think are involved:

-time: within the past month I have routed a good portion of my energy towards researching DGIV. I'm just beginning to learn DD skills, and it's exciting to learn about DGIV. Consequently, I've made little effort to even so much as say hello to most of you. For that I apologize. Hello to all :-)
-emotions: I am hesitant to become emotional when dealing with my money. I can forsee my tendency to become to attached/reliant upon what my friends think of DGIV, and less dependent on what I personally think of DGIV.
-age: As far as I know, I'm the youngest person who posts to this board. This means that I am likely the least experienced (at investing). Given these factors, my having been as assertive as I have been lately has probably not helped my reception either.

I think that pretty much covers the reasons for why I feel awkward. I just wanted to let everyone know that it's important that I feel welcome. I've got a ton of ideas and think that I can add substance to the thread, but I do want to feel some of the warmth that you folks provide as well.

Looking forward to Sept...
Dave (making his pitch for cadet status)

Good Morning Family,

OK, now that I have slept on it, I tried moving twice when the Rocketeer site went up
and when Raging Bull became known. It didn't work. This is our site, it is our home, and
I say keep it that way. I have all of the DGIV sites bookmarked and when something is
posted on any of them it pops up. I go to that site and check, if its' news fine, if its' an
article, I decide if I want to read it or not, but the one thing I always do is come back to
this thread just to get a feel on how everyone else is taking things. We have moved from
our original thread, we have made info thread, we have done everything possible to
make things as easy for the new investor as we can. When do we say enough? You
cannot please everyone, every time, no matter how hard you try. If it is possible, maybe
go back and change the wording of the header. Let people know that a lot of "CHAT"
goes on in this thread with some DD thrown in but that all of the meat is found on (post
the link). Then we as long termer's have to make a concerted effort to see that things get
posted over there. Maybe not the actual news all of the time, but something like this,
"check out the DGIV-A-HOLICS thread today, 28 Aug 98, a lot happening".
It is a
simple statement, does not take a lot of time to write, and I for one would feel lost
without the human factor included in my DD. If you can't find out about how other
people are feeling, then how do you gauge street reaction? Are folks excited, are they
scared, is the release just so-so, or is it something that must be investgated.
Anyway, that is my two cents worth..........

I want to stay home!!!!!!!!!

William Brotherson (wb229ahc@micron.net)
