No shoes, no shoes!
Helen doesn't need shoes! Get those little cloth, rubbersoled slipper thingies. That way her feet can develop freely and also she can grip as she learns to walk AND her feet will grow nice and strong and straight. Two orthopedic men told us this when we took CW in because his feet were curving inward. They said babies shouldn't wear shoes for a couple of years.

Helen's feet are HUGE. Oh, I'm sure she'll love that broadcast to the world at large. Heehee.

After two weeks' wear, my shoes (sneakers all. Uhm. Taht's "crosstrainers" nowadays, iddnit?) get to where I don't have to touch the laces. And after three months' wear, the lace knots develop a strange adhesive quality, to where you would need to perform a surgical operation to ever get them untied.
