And that slowing growth rate sure hasn't slowed the stock much in the last four years, has it?

Cisco was down 40% in spring '97. If it corrected that much in the middle of a bull market, it is very unlikely to be immune to a bear market. Market leaders are the last to break their uptrend, but they do break.

That's my point! I can show you IBM chart from 1973 to now, in '73 they were in Nifty Fifty and The Darling of the Street. Stock is up 250% in 25 years, but first dropped by 70% (or more) several times in the same time frame.
