Today, I got back into town 30 minutes before the market close. I checked several prices and saw that a buy I tried Friday had not reached my limit price. Ten minutes before the close, I put in a limit buy order on this stock at the average of the bid and asked price. This executed 2 minutes before the close. This is typical of the results I get. I have never had an execution delayed a lot. My only complaint is that the Schwab screens are slow in forming when there is heavy demand.
