Eddie, you miss the point. Bear markets are associated with recessions. There is no indication that the U.S. is headed for a recession. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with this company or with the industry. What reason do you have to suggest that PeopleSoft is stumbling?

Further, there is no evidence to bolster your claim about that it takes ten years to recover from a bear market. The period from the early 1070s through the beginning of the 80's cannot be used because of the anomalous economic conditions of the time.

We have locked horns often enough for you to know that I never predict stock prices. I simply invest in companies that I believe are likely to be outstanding performers with regard to earnings and the prospects for continued exceptional earnings growth. So, FWIW, I believe that we are seeing a slow motion replay of the October 1987 "bear" market.
