If Amazon goes back to 50 you'll only be halfway whole?

I don't know whether this helps, but I never let my collected account value go below 85% of it's latest high.

If Amzn does go to around $50 in December, my 200 short shares will give me $15K.
That's more than half way.

Maybe we can all forget about being

Jan,

Good work. I profited $12K back today give or take a bit. I have a long way to go but that helps.

Maybe we can all forget about being bulls/bears for a while and just focusing on $$$$$?

That's the RIGHT attitude! I never shorted a stock until a couple of years ago. Then I saw how much money I was losing when I just went towards cash in down markets and how much greater risk I had taken on by concentrating on being long. It also struck me that about 2/3 of all options expire worthless. Still most people are told to only BUY calls or puts - enough of a bias to make selling them an advantage. Keep up the great execution!
