nihil,

Re. But when everything is on sale, I pass up most of the items that are 10% off, and concentrate on the ones that are 50% off., .

But someone said that Wall Street is the only place where customers rush out of the door when a sale is on.

Regards,
Ibexx

I have not been involved in Intel since March of 1997 when I sold the last of my warrants for a thirteen fold profit. God bless Intel and Andy Grove. I've recently been short the oil drillers, which I covered on Thursday. Friday's action was not good. Intel looked weak and CSCO finally broke down. Several stocks I follow are sitting on support levels.

It would not surprise me to see the market go down 1000 points on Monday. This is a cyclical bear market in a deflationary environment. The fed has been great at controlling inflation which has allowed the long bull run. Deflation is much tougher to control if it gets out of hand, because you can't push interest rates below zero as Japan is about to find out.

I would hope that the fed is ready to add massive reserves on Monday. I have a leveraged position in 30 year bonds that I will continue to hold until the panic is over. This could soon be a wonderful time to go long, but don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes.

With $500 PCs I expect Intel to have margin problems. It is a great Company, but the stock isn't yet cheap.
