As of yesterday's close, and thanks to Bob, my portfolio is up 33.16% year to date. I took Bob's telecommunications recommendations very astutely many years ago.

I always thought the term "Bear" or "Bull" MARKET by definition applied to the market in general, not specifically to on sector or one individual's portfolio.

Why is a bear market not just the opposite of a bull market?

A 20% spike upward does not describe a bull market does it?

A bull market is not a percentage .. it's a trend. Wouldn't the same be true of a bear market?

today. they may be idiots tomorrow. i've been astute and an idiot many times - sometimes not very far apart! this game is dynamic. things change quickly.
