I watched a Proton launch tonight from Baikonur(via satellite, of course) launching the Hughes built Astra satellite into orbit. The Russian facilities are sparse, but it certainly didn't hamper the launch. We won't know for sure that the sat reached GTO until 6 hours after launch(which was at 7:31PM central time, 6:31AM Baikonur time), but everything up to that point was flawless. Interesting pre-launch presentation as well.
