Hi Rob, Sorry I wasn't in town to break bread with you at Smith's. As you can tell, the "Landing" at Smith's is strictly seasonal! Actually, everything along the shores of The Big Weathermaker is seasonal!!! Jane and I were recounting recently how pleasant this summer has been. Michigan water temps are a bit warmer than usual this year which helps, but the whole summer has been pleasant. I even think the farmers will agree. Sometimes what's nice for the farmers isn't always nice for the tourists, but this year everybody is happy. A type of measure of the weather this year is that I've already put up nearly two gallons of apple sauce from our tree in the back yard. This is at least two weeks earlier that usual. Recent rains have brought out lots of the State Bird - the Mosquito! So if you stop back, bring plenty of OFF or something. Best regards, Tom
