Thanks for the articles, engineer. This morning I was cleaning out some "old" financial mags (Bloomberg, Fortune, ...) and flipped open a few from April, May, June (1998); some of that ancient history stuff. I was totally stunned to see how much many of the writers of only a few months ago totally missed the mark on how the general Asian, Latin American, and Russian situations would play out, and the resultant effect on US investors. Many of these articles were of the "No worries, mate; just keep pumping in the coins." variety. Sure gave me a good perspective on how lightening fast things have changed to swing the common view to those of the articles you linked us to. Not that there weren't always a few "chicken littles" but they were frequently ignored. ...Tim
