Between South America and Japan you're talking about big bucks when it come to U.S. exports... Any type of devaluation will make U.S. goods more expensive in those very important markets... The big multinationals would have to play the currency markets to protect themselves... A very dangerous strategy when a company strays from its normal business tactics to try and maintain profitability... But, that's what the biggies will most likely do... You can have a scenario where the company's profits are eroded due to bad currency trades...

Watch Japan... If the Nikkei falls considerably below 14000, it will mark the beginning of world market tremors...
