micny, you miss the point here. The lies are justified because it is nobody's business who the President has a private sexual affair with. No human being, including the President, has to live up to your ( or my ) moral values. He is accountable to the Public for his actions as President. Did this affair influence his judgement as President? I think not. But this is the never ending circular debate between the Left (and Libertarians) and Right on social issues. Maybe we should analyze here if the President made love to Monica Lewinsky in the " Right " manner. Were the positions they each took politically correct here? And God forbid if they had oral sex, a crime that used to be punishable in the State of Massachussets ( I wonder if it's still on the books as a " Blue Law " )! Like Senator Ashcroft of Missouri, some of you will latch on to anything to get rid of Clinton.
