Russian market down 3% on volume of $800,000. Thats right, total volume less than $1M. CNN states Russian market has all but collapsed.

NTT says to launch low-cost network service [VPN] Monday August 31, 4:40 am Eastern Time TOKYO, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp said on Monday it would soon launch an Internet-based virtual private network (VPN) service, which would cost corporate users as little as using the Internet. Monthly charges for the new service, called Global Enhanced Business Network, will be about 200,000 yen for a company connecting 10 overseas branches, an NTT official said. This would be about one-fifteenth the monthly cost of a similar service through a private line, he said. VPN allows customers to cut phone bills by utilising public networks as though they were internal networks, he said.
