The most reliable place to look for orders after the close, if they show as "expired" after showing "open" half the day, (when you would expect, say, a market order to have been filled), is TRANSACTION HISTORY. I don't think I've ever checked there without finding that the order in question was, in fact, filled. Also, I always print out my order confirmations, but have never had to use them as proof! Similar heartache to me. I had a stop order placed on a stock, the price traded through, The next day I received no confirm of a fill, so I sold the stock at market, the next day I noticed that the original stop order WAS filled and now I am short. I even was on the phone at each step of the way, verifying with a broker what I thought was transpiring, and he agreed that the stop order did not fill. It seems it was my fault when the mm who was to blame by not providing a timely report back to AMTD that my stop was filled. BTW, it was a stop order, not a stop limit order. I lost money on the trades, but the only thing AMTD would do is refund my Comm. I use market orders because they will fill even 10 sec before the bell.
