I think they referred to CyberTrader as "costly" because the trend for online daytrading firms seems to be offering experienced traders DEEP discounts. JPR Capital for instance, offers a base commission of $10 per ticket plus ECN fees.... and RML Trading offers a base commission of $14.95 per ticket. With CyberBroker, you have to execute a large number of trades to even get close to these prices.

I am not denying the fact that CyberBroker probably offers a more reliable connection (except for today, when the quote feed was absolutely horrible), but as more electronic daytrading firms try to become more competetive by offering such low fees, it will become more obvious that CyberTrader users DO pay a premium for the back end support.
