I guess it boils down to what one deems a short-term bottom.

I find the rebound in the futures interesting when they lifted the halt and that is what got the cash up again.

I am beyond being able to figure out what it is going to do next--I'd like to short it--but the stop would have to be very wide and I don't know that I am willing to risk that much downside if I am wrong. I'll have to wait till it rebounds and then show signs of faltering--if I am going to take the plunge

Well that was quick, we slid off the face of the earth. By end of the week we could be at 7000 DJ30, but it may happen by tomorrow, so may be we could see 6400 DJ30 by end of the week, before any serious effort for a rally is put on.
