TLindt,

Just caught a glimpse of some of the facts from the weekend conference as posted by Pat Mudge on the NN thread:

<<I spent the last 3 days in Key Largo at an investment conference and one of the guests was a senior VP at Wells Fargo, in charge of e-billing and bill-presentment development. Of all the statistics reeled off, the most impressive came as a result of a resent promotion they ran for e-banking. The VP said they had 8,000 sign-ups the first week with one day actually hitting 2,000. This is a long way down the food chain from NN, but it does indicate where the industry is headed and what's likely to happen when the banks realize they have to maximize the use of the Internet if they want to survive.

I know this is preaching to the choir, but it doesn't hurt to be reminded our optimism is backed by statistics rooted in fact. And what better source that a Wells VP speaking in real time. >>

The game doesn't seem to be over just yet, only the price erosion continues. I believe it's people scrambling to meet margin calls.
