John

AS always I appreciate the kind words and thoughts....

It still comes down to wheather you believe that you are responsible for your own actions. For someone who doesnt take the Bible literally,
having someone quote a passage that says only Jesus can remove your sins is not overwhelming evidence.

YOu say that God will not allow sin in his presence, yet by the nature our souls we are all going to sin at some point. We are made by god, but not fit to be in his presence in our natural state? Are we offensive to God or just to lowly? If we are either, that implies a great arrogance and lack of respect and compassion for his own creation. I believe neither is true. It is only my opinion, but nothing makes any sense to me.

Is our natural state so offensive to God, that unless we swear allegiance and subserviance to him, give up personal responsibility for our actions by beieving that only he is ultimately responsible for
rectifying our mistakes, we will be tortured by fire and brimstone for all of eternity?

This does not even take into consideration the fact that I believe God is incapable of punitive action. Punitive action, Any punitive action, is so counter productive to my concept that of God that I refuse to believe it.

Good day all,

A good friend sent us this quote from John Wesley;

" Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."

Thanks to Jane for the above.

God bless one and all,
John
