Agree. It's past time for Greeshades or Rubin to speak out against some of this "irrational" over-reaction (IMHO) to the Russian situation. Rubin is meeting with the Japanese -I believe. A calming word from either of those gentlemen might help mitigate any further market meltdown. A word or two from them would certainly have a whole lot more credibility than some drivel from Slick Willy. There may have been some concern by them about fueling the fire if investors think that they are just trying to stop the bleeding by jawboning. But if they remind investors of the strength of the U.S. markets with examples of such rationale, I think it would at least slow the rate of blood flow - if not stop the bleeding itself.
