My game is to sell puts and collect insurance and time premiums in the face of market fear. I think that there is enough "psychological damage" being done that the markets won't roar back quickly to reward investors but will rock up and down for a while. A good time to become an insurance salesman! I may go long on some things and short others if they rally. The political situation with elections coming up and such leads me to think that the economic fix won't be quick. The semis are starting to look pretty attractive - but why not just collect premiums until a pattern is established? This could be more than a typical downturn - and for IDTI which has blundered badly in planning and execution, the structural changes in the industry could lead to a sell-out or continued stagnation.

BB,ever see Dr.Strangelove? Near the end there is a scene that came to mind when reading your post....it is the one where Slim Pickens rides the atom bomb down towards the RUUUUSKIS...waving his cowboy hat and ye haaaaing.... or maybe another Slim Pickens fav...blazing saddles where slim and his gang are about to cross a fake toll booth ...slim says "go git me a shitload of dimes" GOODLUCK FWIW i am also 100% cash and unscathed whew! but will just watch for awhile
