Yes, I understand, or I think I do- when the market reacts so much to Russia's or Japan's woes, I have doubts as to US's abilities inaccurately reflected by our market behavior. I have to be very aware of it's irrational ways. In my case, I have to subtract money from my starting balace, not count any. My older sister, ex-junior analyst for Chemical bank- said this was my "tuition". I feel I have learned non-greed and other good things in my short 1 1/2 years in the market. (I am 35)
