Cutting losses early on is definitely right up there along with picking the right stocks. My question is how do you do it? Do you follow a fixed percentage point like 5%~10%, or do you look at it from the TA perspective like MACD sell signal? And how do you set these values? Some stocks are more volatile than others. Do you use different values for different stocks? This is definitely an area where a lot of wisdom and experience is necessary.

On a related note, can anyone tell me how they overcame the psychological barrier on cutting their losses? This is where many need help.

Thanks,
Sun Tzu
