I agree that Bennett knew that Linda could confirm yet another example of Clinton's out of control sexual behavior, and that this is why he needed to discredit her. You are now stating that Linda's impression ("excited and flustered") of Willey was "incorrect" and doesn't "in the least" contradict your position. Not "in the least"! This is an example of your presenting your conjecture as absolute fact.

You also seem to want to create the impression that I don't think Clinton is a ludicrous liar, a sexual compulsive, and in general a dog. I can see that portraying me in that way serves a purpose for you, but I've made my attitude toward the man perfectly clear here so you may stop doing that now.

Where we differ, I think, is that you have a lawyer-like propensity to argue the case you want to make as black and white: to find Clinton a liar and a rogue, you have to find everyone else a truthteller and pure. You are willing to assert as fact that the president's enemy, Linda Tripp, had an "incorrect" impression of Willey's "excited and flustered" state because it is convenient to your purposes.

I will repeat my view of the human terrain in this case:

"I would venture to guess that each of the players in this tragic farce is massaging his or her history to make him or her self feel (and look) as good, as virtuous, as much an innocent victim as possible."

That is the way the world works, except to lawyers.
