" I am a long term investor. Daily market fluctuations do not affect me."

Man! I wish it were that easy.

Professor Hodgkin: Re. "Okay, class, repeat after me: I am a long term investor. Daily market fluctuations do not affect me."

Ohmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Ohmmmmmmmmmmmm. Not even the mantras are working. It sure looks like a Glendronach night for me.

Let everyone know that I have drastically lowered my ratings of Standard and Poors. If you go back to February, the day after Adaptec's announcement of its plan to buy Symbios, Standard and Poors did the same thing as it did today. Of course, in retrospect, that was a good call. Is there anyone whose confidence in Adaptec has not been shaken soundly over the past 9 months? This is like being involved in an accident. But Christopher, you've got your dog there, completely oblivious to the market, wagging his tail, giving you those big old doleful eyes. Life is good.

Intel announced better-than-expected earnings for the quarter. Wonder what Boucher's going to announce next Thursday. Standard and Poors was wrong royally last January when it held high hopes for Adaptec and gave it a great rating. Could it be wrong again? Anything's possible.

Have a nice evening,

Starowl
