Nice machine!

The personal reward of building your own is worth a lot.

It sounds like assembling the hardware is the easy part.
Setting up the bios/drivers is the difficult part, but
can be done by someone like you and me who know very little
about computers. I know hardware from reading reviews and
this thread, its the software set-up stuff that I'm lacking.

Overclocking a Celeron really saves on the pocket book.

Ditto. All of my machines both work and home have a disabled USB. The USB port on one of my work machines was disabled by a technician who indicated he could not get the machine to work otherwise.

The USB port may become an option when it replaces several components ( keyboard and mouse and..) This will hopefully free up some valuable IRQ's. I do not think the time is ripe yet.
