I fail to see how Motorola could not understand that Qualcomm would be consistent in its prior position that there should be one 3G standard compatible with all the platforms.

Do I understand the post correctly, in that Qcom's position is that it will take less radio frequency spectrum for a converged standard that it will Ericy's multiple 3G platform stance? (This is a question for the thread.) If that is true, then there is a very good reason not to waste valuable space, which although it may have little to do with cell/pcs phones and carriers directly can have a great impact down the road as other technologies need airspace. Is this correct? Any comments or corrections, technical folks?

Jim - thank you very much for posting the RCR wireless stuff. Some of us are busy looking at a lot of other stuff each day, and would definitely miss out on these things if you did not point them out.

Jon.
