Hey, I wanna know dumbmoney's secrets. He is really GOOD.

One thing I learned, and found interesting: people say that microcaps (the nice name for bb stocks) are a safe haven when the broader market is tanking. Not so, unless the stock in question is the object of really exceptional hype, or has extraordinary news. They may appear not to move all that much, but in percentage terms they get hit harder than most "normal" issues.

Another thing I learned: best not to pick TOO cheap a penny for your short. My worst play was FAMH. I chose it in part because of the persistent rumors of an SEC investigation, but it was a poor idea. Most days it's trading at a huge spread in percentage terms: if it closes on the ask it's up 30% or thereabouts. This can wreak havoc on your numbers.

I'll let you know if anything else comes to mind...
