Zeev,
What do you think about Rydex Ursa and the Prudent

Thanks Zeev. I just discovered that I can also get the TICK off of QUOTE.COM including a chart.

For Tick charts (as well as lots of other index charts,
and portfolio tracking using RT sources, intraday live
RT charts for stocks, alerts etc...) download a shareware
program I wrote - Medved QuoteTracker from
medved.net
(make sure to download the beta version - it has
index tracking).

A new beta will be released tomorrow.

My Lord, is it refreshing to see TDFX go up today. I have
waited a long time and about 20 points to see it :)

Hey Zeev,

I see that you are CYMI too huh? I have been waiting for my opportunity to get into this, it may be here. Although the weakness today bothers me a bit.

You may want to take a look at ABTX, do a little research and I think you will find a gem in this one. Nice for trading as well.

Anybody have a reason for today's lack of ANY strength?

Jeff

A friend of mine offered a very plausible explanation for what happened on Monday that I haven't seen elsewhere. He thinks that mutual funds don't want to get caught looking bad at the end of the month so they all herd for the exits on the last day of the month (or conversely, if the market is going up on the last day, it will go up even further). Mutual funds statistics usually are captured on the last trading day of the month and they are all trying to look better than the next guy.

Monday night he predicted that the money has to get invested anyway and therefore a lot of it will come back in the market on Tuesday.

If he is accurate, then we should see swings being magnified on the last day of every month.
