Kevin,

Re: "Furthermore, AMD is cooperating with Motorola, which has excellent process
technology ... Conclusion: AMD is catching up in the process technology race."

This is just more "spin" from the AMD Sunnyvale "White House". It will
take at least 1-2 years to bring on new technology from a joint development
agreement between AMD and Motorolo. By this time, Intel will be mass
producing CPU's in .18um technology ... In fact, this might start early
in '99 . Kevin, face it ... AMD had a chance and "blew it" back in
April '97.

Make It So,

Kevin:

<<Conclusion: AMD is catching up in the process technology race. And we all know who's winning the design race.>>

I give you some better data. AMD went from practically 0% market share in CPU in the retail 2 years ago to a whopping 38% market share in the retail. They will attack after the business and laptops next.
That number will widen in Q3 and Q4. All Intelabees could say is "more losses". Yeah right! They wouldn't dare to make an estimation of how big the losses would be.
