<< Does anyone knows who was the original assignees (and who are the inventors) and under what circumstances these reassignments were carried out? >>

The apparent date of the re-assignments is July 17, 1998, following the Trooper judgement, so I imagine the circumstances are - panic!?<g>

I believe the original assignee was Thermo Tech Waste Systems Inc. and the inventors were R.Branconnier, D.Cummings and R.Jackman, the same people to whom the patents have recently been re-assigned.

I copied this from the Yahoo thread. What do you think?

<< Just some thoughts on the re-assignment (theft?) from Thermo Tech of the
Thermo Tech patents, to Rene Branconnier and Dan Cumming and Robert
Jackman.

The shareholders are the owners of the company. They elect a Board of
Directors to look after their interests. The Board names a President and
CEO who reports to them. The Mark II patents have been developed at
company expense. They should therefore belong to the company, which in
turn belongs to the shareholders.

Now if employees of the company act contrary to the interests of its
owners, the shareholders, then the directors are responsible (liable) to the
shareholders. The directors should enforce action to rectify the problem.

Therefore, does it not follow that the owners/shareholders should
undertake a letter writing campaign to these directors to demand that the
patents which belong to the company be reassigned forthwith?

Any legal beagles out there who know something about company
director's liabilities?

Perhaps we should get those directors' names and addresses posted up
here and encourage every shareholder to write to the directors to express
their disgust at this recent situation and demand that they take action to
have the patents re-assigned to the company. No company's future should
be at the mercy and frivolous whim of any of its employees >>
