>>I hope not. Buying puts is too expensive. It's no wonder you are selling calls. <<

Yep, I have not been able to make money buying index options--the premiums are too rich and one has to be very nimble. Selling the calls leaves me ahead--as long as the market does not surge forward too much -- but then I use my system to get me out before too much damage is done.

Now when one has a waterfall type decline one would have been ahead being long the puts--but then more often then not I would make a bundle on the futures. If the market does a one day crash--then I am out of luck. Can't win em all.

Anyway, for today--it looks like my sale of the calls during yesterday's rally, was rather timely--now if I can do this often enough, I'll begin to believe that I actually know what I am doing!!:)
