At this point both TLAB and CIEN are screaming buys. I think bottom has been hit for these companies. I have been buying on dip and it didn't fail me yet for the pass week. I hope that CIEN meet analysts expectation for this quarter then it will really fly. It can't go nowhere but up.

If the deal got called off for whatever reason and CIEN became a stand-alone company, it'd definitely make a new low (probably in the low 20s). I wonder if it's better to buy after earning report?

LU is forcing its way into this sector and can afford to give deep discount. CIEN will have to do the same and then some. DWDM then will be a commodity. To prevent that, CIEN should work closely with CSCO and ASND to establish a new protocol. YOu can only divide the wavelength by a finite number (16,40,80,96,..X,Y,Z). What will you do when you reach Z?
