Michelle,

I do not know if this answers your question directly, but here it goes...

A Lehman analyst suggested that PSFT was planning on really working on its Investment Relations department...notice the increase in press releases...he also noted that while he did not think that PSFT would ever hold regular earnings CC(they currently do not), that they were thinking of having CC during a quarter to discuss the general industry outlook...and were looking for ways to better communicate the strength of PSFT...

In regards to other companies, many companies are noted for having CC, or analyst meetings over dinner regarding current projections, GE is a great example...

I think the reason that people are reacting the way that they are regarding the PSFT cc, is because they have never had a formal CC...

Hope some of this helps...

Paul
