In the future, K6-2 chips may do well when these new games appear.

But for now, the K6-2 has to compete head-to-head with Intel based on existing software.

By the time there is significant 3DNOW games, Intel will have 500 MHz Katmais that will perform just as good on 3DNOW software and potentially blow away the K6-2 with KNI-specific software.

But that is the future - and subject to speculation.

For now, Intel's Celeron A and Pentium II have distinct technological advantages that the market has perceived - and seems to be reflected in Intel's upbeat sales outlook for the remainder of this year.
