Larry the Cheerful, the way things are going we'll all become
day traders before long [no pun]. Technical indicators (percent
of stocks with a buy rec as given by Point and Figure TA) are
much worse than they were at the bottom on Oct 29.1997. The
only strong group is utilities. I wish more of us were willing
to watch these indicators, as they cover the market itself
(NYSE) and about 40 groups and are easy to understand, yet
give quantifiable info. Updates occur once a week from my
source (Dorsey/Wright).

All you need to know is that the percent refers to the
number of stocks in the group having buy recs. Adherents
of the method watch for a 6% reversal before buying in.
