Excellent words that needed repeating, Bob. Christians have been in a spiritual warfare from the beginning. Read the Book of Acts often to understand the tactics of both the tares within the Body of Christ and the atichrist forces without. In the end of the end days, the conflict will accelerate as the "Man of Sin" organizes all the forces under his rule and the rule of Satan. The Spirit does testify to our spirit when we are in the midst of Holy Spirit filled brethren, but sometimes I am deceived by the tares, those who use weird and almost cultic language to hide their true intentions. Many of these are also Christians but are only caught up in some present fad. The Holy Spirit has given us a clear Word to identify those who are not of God and are outright antichrist; all who deny that Jesus is the incarnate Christ(Christ come in the flesh) are antichrist. Those who deny Christ judge and identify themselves as antichrist. Political correctness often stops immature Chrsitians from using this knowledge from the Scriptures because of the fear of men. The reluctance to accept the Holy Spirit Words and warning is an indication of a baby faith or lack of faith. The gnostic disciples on this thread are clear examples of antichrists who deny the Incarnate biblical Christ but say they worship a "christ within". Notice how frequently these gnostics, and also the pagans and other antichrist, use the word love meaning social or emotional love. It is much more difficult to identify the tares in our midst who say with their mouths that they accept some kind of "christ" or "messiah", but do not conform to the simplicity of the faith and join themselves to the Body of Christ. This is becoming increasingly fashionable in America and fits the "rugged individualism" myth of our nation. Satan is exploiting this and using this tactic to disrupt the Body of Christ. It is clear that some of those who are willing to judge as unsaved those who have already clearly stated that they have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour (that includes both past and present Christians), put themselves in great jeopardy before God. The willingness to judge another Christians salvation helps expose these cleverly disguised individuals. I think it helps us identify some of these as tares, but the Lord instructs us not to pull them up less we pull up some of the good wheat. Of course, if they are not really saved but only using Christ as a political or ideological weapon, it would make no difference to them since they are still in ignorance and unsaved. Real Christian who hasve tasted of the things of Christ and have been filled with the Holy Spirit, and are still willing to judge others as unsaved, face a very serious judgment from God. The thing that makes it difficult to discuss these things on SI is the fact that we have ignorant pagans, conscious antichrist, neutral-seekers, false christians(tares), baby Christians and mature Christains all participating in the discussion. The pagans and antichrist call it judgemental when Christians point out God's Words about identifying antichrist. The baby Christians are confused by these accusations because they are not yet experienced in spiritual warfare. The neutrals-seekers cannot yet understand the wisdom involved in using the word of God as a standard in decision making. The antichrists are enraged because their covers exposed. The false christians try to avoid discussing the Word of God in these matters and revert to judging those who do as lacking a "pagan type love". Love is the big catch word with the pagans, the antichrist and the false christians. They speak only of a type of "philio" type of love or a carnal social emotion. In their own minds, they feel as if they achieve a great purpose because the blind pagans and antichrist applaud them, but Christians can discern the diffence between their false love and the "agape" love of God. The spiritual battles on SI is an excellent training ground for Christians to learn the tactics of Satan and his children. We will always be a small minority because the way is narrow and there are few who find it. Outside of Jesus there is NO salvation. In Christ is Life and His Life is the Light of men. Emile
