Thread: CNBC reports leading analyst at Paine Webber, who has just moved there from a string of other houses, includes CPQ on his list of top picks. Sorry, didn't get his name. Victor

Harrigan...Their comments did not affect market.

Their tone (positive) was more important than the content that
we have heard before.

AG stated that he is concerned that advanced Intel technology
will be waiting for other complimentary technology to catch up.
Thus putting Intel technology on the shelf for some time and
devalueing it.
AG estimated 150 mil computers in use. Given the world population
he feels that number can grow to 1 billion.
Given the choice, at Intel, to shut down E-mail or the phone system,
he stated employees would shut down the phone system.
Does he feel that the 1 billion number would be as proliferated as
the telephone?

Both EP and AG stated the importance of voice technology and
internet speed as important frontiers to be bridged.

If any one else remembers more please contribute.
